We'll see this later on when we run the debugger. This means that the debugger will always break or suspend execution at the first line of code. Notice that the "Break at first line" box is checked. ![]() Expand the PHP node on the left and select "Debug" to display the screen below. Navigate to Window / Preferences, as shown below. The first thing we need to do is to tell Eclipse to use the XDebug we installed earlier. You can install XDebug later if you need it. If you are new to Eclipse for PHP, you can skip this section and use Eclipse without XDebug if desired. XDebug is NOT required to be able to use Eclipse for PHP development.
